God has given us the great gift of an imagination that helps us create new and wonderful ideas and helps us find solutions to difficult problems. However, too many times we use our imagination to think on what could go wrong or what bad might happen in the future. This leads to worry and that leads to more fear. Zig Ziglar and others say this kind of fear stands for “False Evidence Appearing Real” meaning that this kind of fear is a lie that should not have any impact on our life.
Do not get me wrong not all fear is bad. The fear of touching a hot burner or standing in front of a speeding car keeps us from being harmed. The difference is that those fears are due to real physical situations that have a known outcome. The fear that I am talking about is the fear that keeps you from taking actions because of what you have predetermined will happen with no real evidence of the real outcome. These are the fears that keep you from asking someone a question, from standing up for your beliefs or even making a decision.
What fear have you created in your life that is keeping you from your dreams?
